GDG Directors
Global Development Group USA is governed by the following board of Directors.
Paula Armstrong – (President)
Paula has a BA in Elementary Education and is qualified in early childhood education. She also has a Master of Education and Esol. Paula has spent 27 yrs teaching and administering in the school system and spent one year teaching in Papua New Guinea
Colin Armstrong – (Secretary) BSc –
Colin has a BA in Elementary Education and is qualified in early childhood education but has spent most of his career in Chemical Processing Management

Howard Vander Griend
Howard is a former American Airlines pilot, and spent several years in Nigeria, West Africa as a mission pilot. He holds both aviation and mechanics licences and has worked for over a decade in the Aviation industry as both a mechanic and teacher. He also holds a BRE (Bachelors Religious Education), and has significant administrative experience. Currently he is self employed while studying for a graduate degree in Marriage and Family counselling with Lee University in Cleveland, TN.
Sandra Vander Griend
Sandy has studied at both Calvin College and Reformed Bible College, and has extensive experience in the retail sector and in retail management specifically. She has significant skills in childhood education and training, and in the domestic hospitality & catering, cleaning and management sector. She has held numerous positions of responsibilities on boards of management, including serving as Secretary, Director, and President of various groups and enterprises. Sandy is currently employed in the legal sector.
Robert Bolton
Rob Bolton has a BS in Business Administration, Finance from Florida Southern College. He has worked in various financial fields from having been a licensed stock broker, bank regulation with the State of Florida, and various entrepreneurial enterprises.
Currently, he is pursuing a certified general real estate appraiser's license. Outside of his professional activities, he has been involved in youth ministry and has been involved with domestic and foreign missions trips. He is married and has two children.
Melody Amato

Melody (2nd from left) graduated with a BSA (Bachelor Science of Accounting) from Indiana Wesleyan University and is a qualified CPA. Melody is posing here with some of the girls from our Project J231 Mission Mexico, during a project audit trip.
Allan Benson
Pictured here with his wife, Wendy, whilst auditing a development project in Thailand, Allan has qualifications in Engineering, Occupational Health and Safety and Human Relations. He has worked in the engineering sections of large and complex manufacturing companies. Outside of his professional activities he has been involved in humanitarian work in Australia including Teen Challenge.
He has been involved in overseas projects and has traveled extensively over the past five years.
